Burnt Maidenii Yuzu Vermouth with miso adds depth and warmth, balanced with a dash of lemon amaro and bitters. Finished with a delicate drop of black garlic oil and a freshly foraged nasturtium petal, taking you from citrus-led clarity to savoury complexity.
Perfect for cooler winter nights and unmistakably Tasmanian.

Taylor & Smith X Aloft Nasturtium Gin
We worked with Natalie and Ben from Taylor & Smith to create a gin that uses and emulates the flavours at Aloft over the last ten years. Natalie and Ben asked for beverage and food menus over the last few years and came up with ideas with us.
The central flavour that we came up with was Nasturtium, which is used constantly throughout the menu and harkens back to Christians childhood of him remembering it being everywhere whilst playing in the garden.
Along with that we have meyer lemon; another favourite and staple in the restaurant over the last decade.
And finally black garlic. Black garlic featured in a martini a few years ago, and Natalie and Ben both remembered the martini, and the profile it provided fondly.
The lemon brings freshness and vibrance, the nasturtium gives gorgeous florals and delicate savoury spice, and the black garlic gives texture and weight on the back.
We wanted a gin that not only makes a great martini, but also works with a mixer or neat.
It turned out as well as we could possibly hope.
This Dark Mofo you will also see us over at the Winter Feast with an Aloft X Taylor & Smith Stall,

To commemorate ten years of Aloft, we worked with the team at Overeem to release a whiskey exclusive to Aloft.
A combination of Bourbon and Port Casks all aged 5-7 years, to create a beautiful, approachable, yet bold whiskey.
Tropical fruit and vanilla up front, with bold Christmas pudding notes layering on the back of the palate.
A special release, with a small batch family owned distillery that we are fortunate enough to call friends.
